چکیده

The cell method developed by Lennard-Janes and Devonshire is applied by using a two-potential model for the configurational energy to the determination of the equation of state of argon, nitrogen, and methane up to nearly half the liquid densities D1 the temperature range from 0 to l50°C. The LennardJones6-l2 potential and the Kihara hard core model with parameters determined from the second virial coefficients at low densities are used, respectively, for the calculation of the energy of the geometrically symmetric lattice and the excess potential energy arising from molecular motions. Calculated results compare favorably well with existing experimental data.

Mechanical properties of CNT reinforced nano-cellular polymeric nanocomposite foams

Mechanics of CNT-reinforced nano-cellular PMMA nanocomposites are investigated using coarse-grained molecular dynamics simulations. Firstly, static uniaxial stretching of bulk PMMA polymer is simulated and the results are compared with literature. Then, nano-cellular foams with different relative densities are constructed and subjected to static uniaxial stretching and obtained stress-strain cu...

Optimization of Process Parameters of Electron Beam Welded Fe49Co2V Alloys

Electron beam welding has shown a remarkable job in the space industry for welding of components. It is performed under a vacuum environment that eliminates foreign matter such as hydrogen, oxygen, and other gases. Joining of similar and dissimilar materials is the main advantage of electron beam welding with high depth to width ratio as well as sharp focus at the point where parts are to be we...

Theory of warm ionized gases: equation of state and kinetic Schottky anomaly.

Based on accurate Lennard-Jones-type interaction potentials, we derive a closed set of state equations for the description of warm atomic gases in the presence of ionization processes. The specific heat is predicted to exhibit peaks in correspondence to single and multiple ionizations. Such kinetic analog in atomic gases of the Schottky anomaly in solids is enhanced at intermediate and low atom...

Effect of pulsed current densities on co-electrodeposition of Graphene Oxide/ Calcium-Phosphate coatings and their biocompatibility

In this study, calcium-phosphate (Ca-P) and graphene oxide (GO)/ calcium-phosphate (Ca-P) coatings were electrodeposited with different pulsed current densities on TiO2 nanotubes. Results showed that the co-electrodeposition rate in the presence of GO, especially at low current densities of 2 and 5 mA/cm2, significantly decreased. This might be due to the large size of GO sheets as compared to ...

Modeling of Compression Curves of Flexible Polyurethane Foam with Variable Density, Chemical Formulations and Strain Rates

Flexible Polyurethane (PU) foam samples with different densities and chemical formulations were tested in quasi-static stress-strain compression tests. The compression tests were performed using the Lloyd LR5K Plus instrument at fixed compression strain rate of 0.033 s-1 and samples were compressed up to 70% compression strains. All foam samples were tested in the foam rise direction and their ...
